The Origin of Juni-Sport ...
Juni-Sport was initially created in 1988. Unfortunately, the organization has to stop for a few years due to a lack of funding. At the time, there were several regular activity programs for physically disabled youth: basketball, tennis, ball hockey (formerly known as hockey cosom), swimming, and directed games. Juni-Sport's triumph at the Canadian Junior Wheelchair Basketball Championship, held annually at Variety Village in Toronto, has to be mentionned. Initially, Juni-Sport relies on the hard work of its first two permanent employees: André Bougie and Alexandre Beauchemin.
Juni-Sport Now ...
Just like at the beginning, Juni-Sport keeps the same mission and the same goals when it is reborn from its ashes in 2005. In its regular programming, the organization deals today only with powerchair soccer, but still promotes any physical activity.
